Unfortunately we've had to reschedule the course on the gnostic gospels to another year (winter course K). In it's place we have the course Indigenous Stories and Traditions, which spans cultures and groups from across North and Central America.

Jul 24, 2020 Press release: OSTS - Alive and Well in the Time of COVID-19
Jul 17, 2020

On behalf of Ann Babin, President of the OSTS, I bring greetings from the School. We hope that you and your loved ones are safe in this time of COVID 19. Like many educational institutions the OSTS will be offering virtual classes this autumn via ZOOM. We hope that you will join us for our exciting course selection. The status of the virus will determine whether virtual classes will continue for the winter term.

In these difficult times the Zoom service offers a satisfactory alternative to face-to-face meetings. Only the lecturer needs to have a registered Zoom account; everyone else (i.e. students) can connect to the session without any requirement for a paid personal Zoom account. Prior to each class you will be sent an email with a Zoom link to your selected class included, simply click on the link to join. For security reasons it is important that you do not share this link on social media. You will be able to see and hear your lecturer and fellow students if you select both video and audio; alternatively, you may choose audio only. Michael Anderson, OSTS student and our resident “techie” will be arranging a training session for registrants prior to the beginning of the fall term. You will be advised of this in advance. If you would like to do some preparation prior to the tutorial we suggest you check the many Zoom tutorials available on-line.

Please visit our website (osts.ca) to see the course descriptions and make your selection. On-line registration is available and necessary for our classes. Payment can only be made on-line or by cheque. See our website for these details and others, e.g. whom to contact if you have questions. Please note that although classes are scheduled for two hours, the length of time can be shortened if the lecturer and the majority of students agree.
